WINE AUCTION

Everyone knows a good bottle of wine can warm a person’s heart. With your help, it can save a child’s heart as well.

Project Kids Worldwide, a nonprofit that provides life-saving treatment to children dying from heart defects in medically undeserved areas of the world, will hold our annual benefit wine auction at 6:00 pm on May 29, 2008, at the Ritz-Carlton, Battery Park, located at Two West Street in the heart of downtown Manhattan. Tickets cost $200. The event will benefit the Donald Richard Gavagan Jr. Fund of Project Kids Worldwide. Jacqueline Gavagan, our partner in the wine auction, established the fund to commemorate her husband, who was killed in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Dr. Stephen B. Colvin, the founder of Project Kids Worldwide and a Professor of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at NYU Medical Center, had successfully repaired a heart defect in the Gavagans' son.

Proceeds from the auction will be used to bring children with heart defects to the United States for life-saving surgery. How many children's lives we can save this year is up to you. Click here to RSVP. We look forward to seeing you on May 29.
